SAR GCA

Introduction

As a Garratt fan one of my ambitions is to built Garratts as much I can afford time and moneywise. Having just completed the AD60 I browsed eBay and much to my surprise I chanced upon a reasonably priced model of the CGA class of the South African Railways. Some negotiation bit some off the price and as it was sold from the UK there were no import duties due. That made quite an affordable model. Actually I did not intend to buy at the time because I had just purchased an B&O EM-1 and an Erie Triplex within arelatively short time frame but this to good an offer to refuse.

Status

The kit is stored for now as I am working on other projects.
